Why did we read this book: Well, for starters there is the awesomely creepy cover – please note the heart next to the knife: isn’t that striking? 1 Plus, Ana read White Crow by this author last year and really enjoyed it and had been meaning trying another one of his books. How did we get this book: We both received review copies from the publisher Beautifully imagined, intricately and cleverly structured, this is a heart-wrenching and breathtaking love story with the hallmark Sedgwick gothic touches of atmosphere, blood-spilling and sacrifice.
